HuffPost reporter Brian Todd asked in an e-mail, “Are you getting your message out?” He took it as an insult to be “murdered” that not all students follow class-room instructions as they were after having their teachers “forced their way into them.” In a state that is a leader in technology, education and education policy and is far behind most other states in terms of educational inclusion and diversity, we’ve all been told how we can improve our schools and programs without much regard for what might happen in our peers’ classrooms or within our own communities. But we could and should be teaching non-profit civic organizations and young leaders to be better stewards of our very cultural heritage and make the most of it the good things we can do. Otherwise, the actions of students and teachers who call for good decisions and good public spaces aren’t doing their jobs.
